Exciting New Chapter Begins At Barnfield Academy Trust
Barnfield Academy Trust is delighted to announce that it has finally been granted Government permission to separate from its original sponsor, Barnfield College, and launch as a new stand-alone Academy Trust.
The move follows months of hard work and negotiation by the staff, and means that Barnfield Academy Trust can now look forward to an exciting future offering children from 4–18 top class teaching in the area.
CEO of the Trust Andrew Cooper said: “Today’s announcement is the news we’ve all been waiting for. There have been issues and challenges in recent times, but from today it’s a brand new start for us. This is fantastic news for teachers, parents and most importantly the children and students we teach in our two primary schools, two secondary schools and studio school”.
“The Ministerial permission to go it alone demonstrates a huge vote of confidence in the great work already being done in our five schools. We share that confidence – we are all incredibly excited about this fantastic opportunity”.
The schools that make up the new Academy Trust are Barnfield South, Barnfield West, Moorlands Free School, Barnfield Vale and the Barnfield Studio School.
As part of the Academy Trust’s new chapter, it will have a new name in the near future.
